Rathdowney Swimming Club Inc -Term 4, 2025 and Term 1, 2026
Training Days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
We have two qualified coaches. Matthew (Tusday & Fri), Laurel (Thurs). This may vary due to commitments.
You do not have to train all 3 days and you only pay for the training days attended.
Beginner: 3.20pm – 4:10pm (Swimmers who can float unassisted and are learning the strokes)
Intermediate and Advanced: 4:10pm – 4:40pm (Swimmers who can swim 25m)
Children who are members can also train for free under parent supervision on Sundays 1:00pm – 4.30pm.
Parents who enter the water need to pay $2.50.
Swim Club Nights:
Club nights/afternoons with timed events are a great chance for children to gain experience in race starts and finishes and keep track of their times!
Membership Fees
Rathdowney Swimming Club is affiliated with Swimming Qld. Everyone who swims must sign up and pay through the Swimming Qld Web site. The Membership Fee covers your personal insurance and admin costs for Swimming Qld and also includes a $20 Rathdowney Swimming Club Membership fee. Swimming Qld transfer this $20 back into our club bank account.

After the 30 days is up, if you wish to continue swimming, you need to pay the relevant above fee. “Come n Try” swimmers still need to pay training fees. | Free |

If paying by Cash, please put the correct money in an envelope and clearly write on the envelope the name of swimmer/s and what the payment is for.

Wet weather and other unforeseen cancellations
In the event of heavy rain or lightning (even if it is in the distance), training will be cancelled and a message will be posted via Messenger. (make sure you join the Messenger group).
How to sign up with Swimming Qld & Pay membership
- Google Swimming Qld or go to qld.swimming.org.au
- Scroll down to the big orange button on the left called “Access Swim Central”
- Log on with your email address from last year or register for an account if you are new.
New Members: Parent/guardian needs to sign up first using an email address, then the parent (Principal) adds the children as dependents in their family group
- On the left hand side, go to “Store”, then click on “Memberships”
- In the search for a club box, type “Rathdowney”
- For each person, you should see a list of available memberships. Be careful to choose the correct ones (Recreational swimmer 9 and over, Youth Swimmer Competition, Swimmer 8 and under or Come n Try). Add your memberships to the cart.
- For Come n Try, you will still need to enter credit/debit card details and agree to terms & conditions. You will be charged $0.00
- If you sign up 3 or more paying members in one transaction, you get a discount
- FAIR PLAY vouchers: Enter your voucher number/s at the checkout. The Voucher covers your SQ membership and any leftover money on the voucher will go towards training fees.
